The Edlavitch DCJCC Preschool fosters a nurturing environment of open-ended exploration, curiosity and growth that deepens our connections to Judaism, our community, and the world around us.  Our program provides a day full of learning, enrichment and fun for children ages 2–5, year-round, from 7:30 am–4:15 pm with the additional option of aftercare until 6:00 pm.

We are proud of our commitment to a child-centered, emergent curriculum that promotes a collaborative learning environment.  We view children as curious, competent and capable of co-constructing knowledge. Our caring teachers work together to help the children express themselves.  Documentation shows the process of the children’s’ work and highlights the discoveries that have grown from their explorations.

Our rooms are warm and welcoming and provide carefully designed areas that encourage active exploration and creativity as well as spaces that encourage reflection and concentration. We encourage children and teachers to use all available materials in their discovery process. In addition to our newly renovated and light-filled classrooms, our facility includes child-size bathrooms, a spacious gym, a gross-motor play area with soft equipment, a dance studio, and a swimming pool.

We invite you to visit our school to see the children learning through play. Visit our Admissions page for more information about Tours.  Check out our FAQ page for more details about our program.
