Child & Caregiver Classes

For newborns through 4 years old, with caregivers

The Parenting Center provides families with the support, guidance, and enrichment needed to raise young children in the city. Classes are designed to meet the developmental and social needs of infants and toddlers (newborns through age 4) and to provide meaningful and fun bonding experiences for parents and other caregivers. LGBTQ and straight, couples and single parents, Jewish and non-Jewish — are families all warmly welcomed.  We also welcome all abilities at the EDCJCC; please contact Miriam to discuss how we can accommodate your child in our programs.

By registering for our classes, you agree to our policies regarding refunds, make-ups, safety, illness, and more.  Read them here.

Please note that unless specifically designated as a “drop-off class,” all classes require that children be accompanied by a caregiver at all time

Check Enrollment and Financial Transactions
To see what you’ve already registered for and/or check financial transactions, follow these steps:
1. Log into your CampMinder Account
2. Choose “Financial Management.”
3. Be sure that the drop-down menu is set to the calendar year in which you took the classes (e.g. “2017” for November 2017 classes or “2018” for January 2018 classes)
4. Click “View Statement.”  This will open up a PDF that lists all enrolled classes and all financial transactions for that calendar year.  You can adjust the year to see transactions from previous years.

Fall 2018 Classes (listed by age)

Information about Fall 2018

The Edlavitch DCJCC is undergoing a major renovation of our building, beginning in the fall of 2018, with completion by summer 2019.  The renovation will enhance the Center as a whole and will bring some very exciting changes and improvements to our early childhood programs.  During the renovation period, our building will be closed and we will be running some Parenting Center classes at the Foundry Church across the street, at the corner of 16th and P.  Unfortunately, we will only be able to run classes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings during the renovation, so while we will still be offering some of our most popular music classes, most of our programming will be on hiatus for the 2018-19 school year. We will be offering Music Time with Ari and Musical Infants on Tuesdays and Makin’ Music with Ms. Michelle on Thursdays in the fall.  We look forward to bringing back Power Tots Gymnastics, Super Soccer Stars, Getting Ready for Preschool, Itsy Bitsy Yoga, Art for Tots, Pre-Ballet, Zumbini, and the rest of our great classes in September 2019!

Please note that unless specifically designated as a “drop-off class,” all classes require that children be accompanied by a caregiver at all time
